The BostonYPA Ambassador Team

DESCRIPTION

The BostonYPA Ambassador Team supports our Board of Directors while we work towards our mission; creating a community for the Young Professional.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist as hosts and hostesses of events so attendees feel welcome and not awkward

  • Define Association’s mission through events and initiatives

  • Volunteer Monthly for the Event Registration Table or as host/hostess

  • Assist with promotion and marketing of special events

Opportunities for Additional Experience and Visibility in Our Community:

  • Coordinate and run events - all details from start to finish

    • research/book venues and negotiate fees

    • assist with the strategy and execution of promoting the event

    • plan menus and place food order

    • ensure day of event goes smoothly

  • Business Development Interns and Social Media Managers

  • Blog Writers and Seminar Speakers

    • support the educational initiative of BostonYPA

    • take your knowledge and expertise and share with our community.

    • contribute monthly to our website’s Blog and/or teach 1-2 times per year

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent time management and communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Professional, positive attitude, even on a rainy day

Compensation

  • Ambassador is not an employee of Boston Young Professionals Association

  • When volunteering, Ambassador will receive complimentary admission to events

  • Compensation is made for select activities, when appropriate.
