Human Resources Generalist

Our client, a well-established firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to assist with day-to-day departmental operations and duties including hiring, performance reviews, and benefits. The HR Generalist must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and have a self-starter attitude with at least one year of Human Resources experience.

Compensation: $60-65K (DOE)

Prior to starting, candidates will need to pass a background check.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain company files for all personnel

  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to recruitment, training, grievances, and performance evaluations

  • Coordinate meetings, training, and surveys related to Human Resources

  • Assist with payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.)

  • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations

  • Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees

  • Assist recruiters with sourcing candidates and updating ATS details

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • 1+ years of experience in a Human Resources management role

  • 1-2 years of benefits administration and/or recruitment experience preferred

  • SHRM-CP is a plus

  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

  • Able to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines and delegate when appropriate

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
