Legacy Membership Information
Between 2010 and 2018 “paid access”, “Lifetime”, and “Until Age 40” Membership options were available, collectively referred to as Legacy Memberships. Each of these memberships included access to specific events, for a longer period of time than those who paid dues annually. As BostonYPA has grown and increased our Membership benefits, Legacy Members were grandfathered into some new benefits at no cost. BostonYPA now offers 3 tiers of Membership, to better serve our community’s needs. Those that hold a Legacy Membership joined with some of the benefits now found in the Young Professional tier.
Below please find a reference that explains what is included in your Legacy Membership compared to the Young Professional Membership, based on when you joined.
If you became a Lifetime Member between 7/1/17 and 8/10/18:
You have a “Young Professional” Membership, with these exceptions:
There will be no drink tickets included in your admission at After 5 Socials or Networking Nights for Young Professionals
No access to free passes for select special events, networking lunches and fitness brunches
If you became a Lifetime Member between 7/1/16 and 6/30/17
You have a “Young Professional” Membership, with these exceptions:
There will be no drink tickets included in your admission at After 5 Socials or Networking Nights for Young Professionals.
No access to free passes for special events, fitness brunches, or networking lunches
No submissions to our Job Board after 12/31/2022
If you had a profile on our previous website and contributed Membership dues between 9/1/2014 and 7/1/16*:
Your Membership is valid until the later of 8 years duration or your age 40
You have a “Young Professional” Membership, with these exceptions:
Graduate Studies Scholarship Program - Grant is not doubled after 12/31/2021
No submissions to our Job Board
No access to free or discounted passes for special events, fitness brunches, or networking lunches
There will be no drink tickets included in your admission at After 5 Socials or Networking Nights for Young Professionals
For included events with a “Guest Ticket” price over $20, you will receive a $20 discount towards your admission.
If you had a profile on our previous website and contributed Membership dues prior to 9/1/2014, your Legacy Membership is valid until the later of 8 years duration or your age 40, and your Membership benefits are*:
After 5 Social Admission (previously referred to as After Work Socials), without drink tickets
Networking Night for Young Professionals Admission, without drink tickets
For included events with a “Guest Ticket” price over $20, you will receive a $20 discount towards your admission.
Access to the Community and Member Discount Programs listed on our website.
If you created a profile when our previous website was in beta and were granted free access:
After a significant amount of feedback, our website was redesigned to not contain profiles in 2016.
You may continue to access the Community and Member Discount Programs listed on our website.
